Thetford Festival of Running takes place on 22 February 2026 at High Lodge, Thetford Forest, Brandon, IP27 0AF. The event is organised by Zig Zag Running and offers multiple fixed-distance races. Distances offered include:

Maximum entrants are 300. Entries close on 21/02/2026. Minimum age to enter is 18 years. Transfers close on 15/02/2026. Twenty percent of each entry fee is allocated to the upkeep and care of the forest woodlands. By entering, participants agree to the organiser’s terms and conditions.
Course, facilities and logistics
The route is based on a 5.0 km loop within Thetford Forest; the final route is to be confirmed. The course is mainly pathway with a small section of trails and woodland. The half marathon is set as 5 laps as standard with the option to change to 6 or 7 laps on the day. The ultra is set as 9 laps as standard with the option to increase, up to around 12 laps depending on time available. There is a timed event cut-off of six hours and an alternative four-hour cut-off for a later start.
Facilities include registration adjacent to Oak Lodge, a water aid station at the lap point, and post-race teas, coffee and cake. The event is cupless, so participants should bring cups or bottles for refreshment refilling. Parking will be discounted for participants to £5 with a QR code.
