Thetford Festival of Running
The Thetford Festival of Running takes place at High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon, IP27 0AF on Sunday 21 February 2027. The festival returns for its second year and offers a range of fixed-distance races on a looped route inside the forest. Distances available include:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra Marathon
The course is based on a 5.0 km loop within the grounds of Thetford Forest. The surface will be mainly pathway with a small section of trails and woodland; the final route is to be confirmed. A water and aid station will be located at the lap point. The event is cupless so participants should bring their own cup or bottle. The organiser has exclusive use of the main area and open space and will use Oak Lodge for registration and to provide complimentary tea, coffee and cake on completion.
Event details include a maximum of 300 entrants, a minimum age of 18 years, and entries closing on 19 February 2027. Event cut offs are set at six hours and four hours depending on the start. Twenty percent of each entry fee is allocated to the upkeep and care of the forest. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
