Zig Zag Marathon & Half Marathon
The Zig Zag Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 9 May 2027 at the Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX.
The marathon uses the Kirtling Route, an officially measured route that is fully on road, mildly undulating and scenic. The half marathon is a single loop using the Windmill Route.
Aid stations with drinks and nibbles are provided every 10k. The Race HQ and base camp are located at the start and lap point and will host a water and aid station. Parking is included in the entry price. The event operates a seven hour cut off.
Entry is limited to a maximum of 300 participants. Entries close on 07/05/2027 and the minimum age is 18 years. The event is cupless, so participants must bring their own bottles or cups for refilling. Only bone conductor headphones are permitted.
A bespoke finisher medal is supplied at the end of the race. A lucky dip finisher option may be offered, with a medal selected from previous events.
The organiser’s transfer policy allows transfers to another event if made more than seven days before the event, transfers to another participant up to 48 hours before the event, a paid transfer option within seven days subject to a fee, and a virtual entry option with a 15% discount on a future event when less than seven days remain.
