Event details
The Zig Zag Challenge is a timed endurance event taking place on 29 March 2026 at Brandon Country Park, Bury Road, Brandon, Suffolk, IP27 0SU (in Thetford Forest). Entrants may choose either a six-hour or a four-hour option. The event is open to people aged 18 and over and has a maximum of 100 entrants. Entries close on 28 March 2026. Entry fees range from £35.00 to £38.00 depending on the medal option selected. The organiser is Zig Zag Running.
Course and logistics
The course is a multi-terrain lap of 5.3 km using gravel footpaths and grass areas. The Race HQ/Base Camp and aid station are located at the start and lap point, and an aid station is available each lap. A heavy half marathon is listed as five laps (with on-the-day options for six or seven), and an ultra as nine laps with the possibility to increase up to around 12 laps. Parking at the park is chargeable and marshals will direct parking and race registration. There is a baggage area left at each runner’s risk. The event is cupless; participants should bring their own bottles or cups. Road trainers are suggested, with trail shoes optional depending on prior weather.
