Zig Zag Challenge
The Zig Zag Challenge is held at Brandon Country Park in the heart of Thetford Forest. The course uses a 5.3 km lap made up of gravel footpaths and grass areas, creating a multi terrain route. Road trainers are suggested, with trail shoes optional depending on recent weather.
The event is offered as a timed challenge in either a six hour format or a four hour format. Participants may run as many laps as they wish and can rest between laps. Standard lap targets given by the organiser include a heavy half marathon at five laps with options to increase to six or seven, and an ultra marathon at nine laps with the option to extend up to twelve laps.
Race HQ and the aid station are located at the start and lap point. Marshals will direct parking on the day and parking at the park is chargeable. Baggage may be left at a designated area at the entrant's risk and competitors will pass the car park on many laps. The event operates a cupless policy so participants should bring their own bottles or cups.
Medal options include a bespoke event medal and a lucky dip finisher medal. Virtual places for the medal are available through the organiser's website. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
