Zeta Tau Alpha Run for Life 5K : Charlottesville, April 12, 2026

The Zeta Tau Alpha chapter at the University of Virginia organizes an annual 5K event in Charlottesville. The event has been held for the past 28 years and benefits the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation to fund scholarships, educational programming, leadership development, and efforts against breast cancer. Partnerships supporting the race include Bright Pink, the NFL, the American Cancer Society, and the UVA Breast Care Center.

In past years the race has attracted approximately 1,000 participants and raised nearly $30,000 each year for breast cancer causes. The in-person course is based at Madison Bowl Field, adjacent to the UVA Grounds and located between Rugby Road and Madison Lane.

The event offers a virtual option so participants can run in their hometown and upload times for ranking on the event leaderboard. Registration includes a Run for Life 5K t-shirt, a race bib for in-person participants, and food and beverages provided at the event.
