Zach’s Heavenly Steps Trail Run

This is a charity trail event hosted at The Zach Willsher Pub in Benfleet, Essex. Money raised will be donated to Macmillan. The venue address is 170-180 Church Road, Benfleet SS7 4PL, with What3Words location blaze.goes.manual.

Participants choose between two self-navigated routes and receive written narrative instructions. There is no marked route, no mass start and no marshals; runners are timed and must follow the supplied instructions.

Route and terrain information:

  • 5.7 miles approximately, undulating terrain.
  • 12 miles approximately, undulating terrain with a water station at about 6 miles.

The course uses roads, tracks, footpaths and bridleways through parks and woodland around Benfleet. Footwear suitable for off-road running is strongly advised. Muddy trail shoes are not allowed inside the venue.

Additional event details include a £3 voucher for all finishers to use at The Zach Willsher. Parking at the pub is on a first come first served basis with additional parking available in surrounding streets; attendees are asked to park considerately. The event is held under UK Athletics rules and has TRA Permit 8425. Total places are limited to 120.
