Event Overview
The River Run 2026 takes place along the River Darent in Kent. The event starts at Dartford Park and follows a route through several local villages, including Darenth, Sutton-at-hone, South Darenth, Horton Kirby, Farningham, Eynsford, Shoreham, and Otford. Participants can choose to run, walk, or jog the course while viewing the natural scenery of the area.
Distance Options
Participants can select from three different distances, each ending at a specific point along the river:
- 5 km: Finishes in South Darenth.
- 10 km: Finishes in Eynsford.
- 18 km: Finishes in Otford.
Logistics and Participant Support
A shuttle bus service is provided to transport participants from the various finish points back to the starting location in Dartford. The shuttle operates on a schedule following the start of the event, with specific windows for the different finishing groups.
Every participant who completes their chosen distance receives a medal at the finish line. Water and a snack are also provided for finishers. This event is open to individuals with different levels of experience, including those new to the activity and those who prefer walking or jogging.
