Redbridge Parkinson's Awareness Walk/Run
The Redbridge Parkinson's Awareness Walk/Run is a community 5K fundraiser held at Fairlop Waters Country Park in Ilford. The event offers a 5K walk or run taken at participants' own pace and follows a route around Fairlop Waters. The start/finish area is located near the Boathouse Café.
All proceeds are split equally between the Redbridge & Epping Parkinson's Local Group and Parkinson's UK Research. The local group uses funds to provide exercise classes, social activities, information, and support for people living with Parkinson's and their families. Parkinson's UK Research supports research into better treatments and long-term outcomes.
The event is described as family friendly and open to people of all ages and abilities. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
