Zachary M. Martin Memorial Run/Walk - Bristol
This memorial 5K Run/Walk takes place at Colt State Park on Route 114 in Bristol, Rhode Island. The event raises funds for Operation Stand Down Rhode Island and for a core mission to support veterans with PTSD and their families. A virtual 5K option is also offered.
Timing is electronic using BibTag technology from MyLaps. All participants receive memorial military-style dog tags. Children 12 and under may participate free of charge. There is a registration fee of $35, with a $5 discount available for active military and first responders. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome.
The event is held in honor of a U.S. Marine who died by suicide due to PTSD. The format is a community run and walk with both in-person and virtual participation options.
