Event Details

The YWCA Race for a Reason is an annual event organized by YWCA Northeast Indiana. The event aims to raise awareness and funds to support the organization's critical services. The theme for the 2026 edition is "Lacing Up for a Stronger Tomorrow".

Distances and Fees

Participants can choose between two events:

A 5K run/walk.
A 1 Mile fun run/walk.

The event is professionally chip-timed. Awards are presented by age group and gender. Participants have the option to join teams.

Standard registration prices are $40 for the 5K and $30 for the 1 Mile. A youth discount is available for participants aged 0-22, reducing the fees to $25 for the 5K and $15 for the 1 Mile. Prices increase after April 5, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
