Trees Trail Challenge
The Trees Trail Challenge is a day of mountain bike races and trail runs held at Franke Park Trails in Fort Wayne, Indiana. All events start and finish at The HUB, located just beyond the BMX parking lot and next to Derby Hill. The HUB is also used for packet pickup, awards, and pre- and post-event gathering.
Event formats and distances:
- 20 Mile MTB Race (two 10 mile laps)
- 10 Mile MTB Ride (one 10 mile lap)
- 10 Mile Trail Run (two 5 mile laps)
- 5 Mile Trail Run (one 5 mile lap)
Registration fees listed by the organizer are $40 for each mountain bike event and $35 for each trail run. Participants 18 years and under may register for any event free of charge. A Ride+Run option pairs a mountain bike event with a trail run; Ride+Run participants receive 50% off their run entry.
Proceeds from the trail run benefit Trees Indiana to support youth connections with nature. Proceeds from the mountain bike ride go to Three Rivers Velo Sport, a not-for-profit, volunteer-run organization that promotes bicycling-related activities in the greater Fort Wayne area.
Volunteers serve as course marshals and aid station helpers, supporting event operations and trail access. The event takes place at Franke Park Trails and uses The HUB as the central event location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
