Trees Trail Challenge : Franke Park, Fort Wayne
The Trees Trail Challenge takes place on Saturday, Nov 21, 2026, at Franke Park in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The event includes timed trail running and mountain bike competitions on the park's single-track trails and supports local trail upkeep and youth tree education.
The trail running program offers a timed 10 mile race on technical single-track and a 5 mile option. Both running courses include a creek crossing, rolling terrain, and views of the park’s fall foliage.
Mountain bike competition features timed options on the same trail system, with longer and shorter distance choices suitable for mountain bikes. The MTB races use multi-use single-track and are organized with staggered starts.
Participants may enter both a run and an MTB race as a combined entry; a discounted rate applies for those who register for both events.
The event is volunteer-based and functions as a fundraiser. Trail running proceeds benefit Trees Indiana, and MTB race proceeds benefit Three Rivers Velo Sports (3RVS). A post-race donation is allocated for maintenance of the Franke Park trail system. Sponsors and partners support the event and its community fundraising mission.
