About the race
The Yuri's Fun Run Houston is a community running event held in Houston on April 4, 2026. The race uses a start location at St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church, 18300 Upper Bay Rd, Houston, TX 77058. The event includes multiple distances and family-focused activities tied to a larger annual celebration of human spaceflight.

The event has a detailed weather policy. Scheduled runs will not be cancelled for rain alone unless heavy downpour makes visibility unsafe. Lightning causes a 30 minute postponement each time lightning is seen and thunder is heard within six miles; postponements repeat if the condition recurs. A tornado warning issued before or during the event will result in cancellation. If a storm forces on-course cancellation, police, medical teams, and support personnel will try to alert participants and assist those still on course. Participants without rescue should seek shelter in nearby buildings or other protected areas.
Organizers note that race distances may be shortened if required by agreements with authorities or public safety considerations.
