Event Overview
The Yeovil Town Running Club Summer 5k Series consists of six races held monthly on a Wednesday evening. The races are scheduled for April 8, May 13, June 10, July 8, August 12, and September 9.
Course and Features
The event offers a 5 km road race and a children's fun run. The course is described as fast and flat. There is no wheelchair access due to road conditions. The start and finish area is at the Nuffield Centre on RNAS Yeovilton, opposite the Fleet Air Arm Museum.
Participation and Prizes
Registration opens at 6:00 PM on race days, with the race starting at 7:15 PM. Participants receive a single race number for the entire series. Age category prizes are awarded based on age as of April 1, 2026. For the series prize, the best five times from the six races are used. Spot prizes are also available. Results are published online after each event.
Facilities
There is a large car park next to the event headquarters. Refreshments are available before and after the race, with donations accepted. Water is provided at the finish line.
Entry Fees
Online entry is available. The fee for a single race is £10 for EA-affiliated runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners. Entry on the day is £12 (affiliated) or £14 (unaffiliated).
