Event overview

London Calling is a mixed-terrain running event on the North Dorset Trailway near Shillingstone, Blandford Forum (DT11 0SQ). The route runs past Shillingstone Station and offers views of Hambledon Hill and the River Stour. Laps follow an out-and-back course of 5.3 km (3.28 miles). Participants may choose how many laps to complete; all finishers of one lap or more receive a medal. An aid and drinks station is provided at the start/finish of each lap with a selection of savoury and sweet items. There is also an area to leave personal items and toilets at the start/finish area.     Number pick-up takes place on the day at race registration before running. Final instructions are sent by email before the event. The start/finish area is hosted by the Big Yellow Bus Garden Project. Parking is available at Eastbrook Farm near the start/finish. The nearest train station is Gillingham, approximately 12 miles away. The event notes that plastic cups are not provided and that UK Athletics distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under.
