Event Overview
London Calling is a running event on the North Dorset Trailway. It offers a flexible, mixed-terrain route.
Route and Distances
The course is an out-and-back route along the trailway. Participants run laps of 5.3 km (3.28 miles). Runners can choose their own total distance, from 5 km up to an ultra-marathon. The route passes Shillingstone Station and offers views of Hambledon Hill and the River Stour.
Event Details
Flexible start times are available within a designated window on race morning. Number collection happens at registration on the day. All participants must finish within a 7-hour time limit. An aid station at the start/finish of each lap provides savory and sweet snacks and drinks. Participants must bring their own cup. Toilets are available at the start/finish area. A kit storage area is provided. Parking is available at Eastbrook Farm for a charge, with details provided closer to the event. The nearest train station is Gillingham, approximately 12 miles away. The event is held in partnership with the Big Yellow Bus Garden Project, a local charity hosting the start/finish area. Donations to the project can be made during entry or on the event day. All finishers who complete one lap or more receive a medal.
