Yosemite Half Marathon

The Yosemite Half Marathon is a point-to-point race located in Bass Lake, California, situated in the Sierra National Forest just outside the boundaries of Yosemite National Park. The course features a mix of road and trail surfaces and is designed with a mostly-downhill profile.

The event consists of a single distance:

  • 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)

The route is divided into distinct sections, beginning with 5 miles through forested areas. This is followed by a 5-mile descent and concludes with a 3-mile section around Bass Lake. The race finishes at the lakeshore. Participation options include standard registration, pacer roles, and charity bibs. The charity bib program requires participants to raise a minimum amount for a nonprofit organization in exchange for a waived registration fee.

The event takes place in May when local waterfalls and lake levels are at their peak. Due to the terrain and location, the course offers views of the forest and water features throughout the Sierra National Forest region. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
