Yosemite Half Marathon
The Yosemite Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile race held near Bass Lake in the Sierra National Forest on May 8, 2027. The course combines wide fire roads and rolling trail terrain with a long, fast downhill section on pavement and finishes along the shoreline at Recreation Point.
The route surface includes both dirt and paved sections and has total elevation changes of approximately +304 ft and -2,285 ft. The event uses a cutoff of four hours. There are five aid stations located near miles 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11; each station provides water, electrolyte drink, toilets, and Honey Stinger gels, while miles 5 and 7 also offer oranges and bananas. All aid stations are cup free, so runners should bring a reusable bottle, collapsible cup, or hydration pack.
Race weekend includes an expo with bib pickup the Friday before the race and multiple bib pickup options including expo pickup, race morning pickup, or paid shipping. Parking at the start is not permitted; the event operates shuttles from Oakhurst and designated Bass Lake area locations and communicates shuttle details to participants by email. Recreation Point Group Campground serves as the finish area and campground check in begins the Thursday before the race; RVs and trailers are not allowed. Finisher medals are awarded to all finishers, and place medals are given to top finishers in overall and age group categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
