Yorktown Independence Day 8K Run/Walk
The event is scheduled for July 4, 2026 in Yorktown, VA, at 9300 George Washington Memorial Highway (Rt 17). Participants are asked to park and gather near the York High School tennis courts and will be led to the start line by fife and drummers. The main 8K is chip timed and uses a USATF certified course (VA16022RT). Race day packet pick up only.

All 8K participants receive a custom race T; T-shirt size is guaranteed for those registered by June 24, 2026. The first 350 8K registrants who finish will receive a custom die-cast commemorative medal. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women; 8K age-group awards begin at 14 and under, then 15-19, and continue in five-year increments from 20-24 up to 75 and over. The 8K ruck division has awards for the top overall male and female ruck finisher. All 5K Fun Run participants receive a finisher coin and a custom race T while supplies last; the 5K Run Walk is not a timed event. Refreshments and a post-race celebration are provided.
