Lost in the Woods 5k (for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital)
Lost in the Woods is a holiday-themed running event held on the Peninsula Catholic High School campus in Newport News, Virginia. The course uses two loops that wind through the campus and the woods behind the school and is decorated with Christmas lights.

Registration fees listed for the events are $20.00 for the 5 km and $10.00 for the Kids Fun Run. One hundred percent of registration profits after costs will be donated to charity. Race proceeds are split so that 50 percent plus any donations go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, while the other 50 percent of registration profits will be awarded to a charity chosen by the team that wins the grand prize.
Teams of five to seven runners may compete for the right to select the beneficiary of that 50 percent share. Participation is not limited to team members; individual runners, walkers, and donors are included in the fundraising plan. The event is hosted by PCYT, a club that promotes community service among teenagers and lists activities such as helping police clean a beach, packing lunches for people experiencing homelessness, and donating a vehicle to refugees.
