About the race
The Malham Trail Half Marathon takes place on Saturday 5 September 2026 in Malham village. The event uses Malham Show Field (BD23 4DA) as its venue and is part of the Due North Trail Trilogy; entering all three events offers a joint discount and qualification for the series championship. Entry fees are listed as UKA Member £35 and Non UKA Member £37. The route uses local trail features and passes Malham Cove and Malham Tarn.
The course includes a climb to Weets Top followed by a long descent with extended views. A GPX route is provided for navigation. The race is run under UK Athletics rules and is licensed by the TRA. There is an age restriction of 17 plus for all trail races.
A minimum kit list is mandatory and treated as race rules; required items include a waterproof jacket, a personal cup or bottle for drinks stations, and a mobile phone with a location app such as OS Locate. Practical arrangements include a partially way marked course, drinks stations offering water, juice, fruit and sweets (no single use cups provided), a post race meal such as pasta or soup, and a toilet block with male and female facilities in the race field. Prize giving will follow the completion of prize categories. Spectators can use nearby village cafes and pubs or bring a picnic.
