Malham Trail Half Marathon
The Malham Trail half marathon takes place on Saturday 5 September 2026 at Malham Show Field in Malham village (BD23 4DA). It is the first race in the Due North Trail Trilogy; entering all three races saves £10 and qualifies participants for the series championship. Entry fees are listed as UKA Member £35 and Non-UKA Member £37. The event is run under UK Athletics rules and is licensed by the TRA. Runners must be at least 17 years old.
The route passes notable local landmarks including Malham Cove and Malham Tarn, and includes a climb to Weets Top followed by a long descent with extended views. A GPX file of the route is available for download. The course is partially way marked. Drinks stations provide water, juice, fruit and sweets but no cups, so participants must carry a cup or bottle. The organiser lists a minimum kit requirement that includes a waterproof jacket, a cup or bottle for drinks stations, and a mobile phone with a location app; failure to carry the minimum kit is a breach of race rules. A post-race meal is provided and there are male and female toilets in the race field. Prize giving will follow completion of prize categories. Spectators have access to nearby village cafés and pubs or may bring a picnic. Dogs are not permitted at this event. Results will be published after the race.
