Yonkers Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K
The Yonkers Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K takes place on September 20, 2026 in Yonkers, New York, with start and finish at the Yonkers Train Station at Buena Vista Avenue on the Yonkers waterfront. The event is in its 99th year and proceeds rain or shine.
The course begins and ends in downtown Yonkers, travels through the hilly terrain of Yonkers, and follows sections along the Hudson River. The event is held on an open course with vehicular traffic; participants are strongly discouraged from using headphones or noise cancelling units for safety. Light personal items may be checked at the event, but only clear bags are permitted; backpacks are not allowed.

Amenities include finisher medals, scenic course photos, live time tracking for the half and full, free finish line photos, and live text or email results. The half marathon has two on-course timing points and the full marathon has five on-course timing points. Awards include top three male and female overall and online recognition for top three in multiple age groups.
Special pricing is offered for City of Yonkers employees, children younger than 18 who pay a reduced rate for the 5K, and veterans who may run for free. Registration fees are nonrefundable. Early packet pickup is Saturday, September 19 at the Department of Parks Headquarters, 285 Nepperhan Avenue. Race day packet pickup is at the River Front Library, 1 Larkin Center, Yonkers.
