About the race
The Yonkers Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K takes place on September 20, 2026, at Yonkers Train Station, located at Buena Vista Avenue at the Yonkers Waterfront (1 Larkin Center, Yonkers, NY 10701). The event marks the 99th running of the Yonkers Marathon and follows a course that starts and finishes in downtown Yonkers, travels through the city's scenic hills, and runs along the Hudson River.
The event offers three distances:
- Marathon (ages 16 and up)
- Half Marathon (ages 16 and up)
- 5K (ages 4 and up; 18 and under pay $15)
Amenities include finisher medals, scenic course photos, live time tracking for the half and full, two on-course timing points for the half and five for the full, live/text/email results, and free finish line photos. Free parking will be available at the Buena Vista Parking Structure on event day. Early packet pickup is scheduled the day before at the Department of Parks Headquarters (285 Nepperhan Avenue) and race day packet pickup is at the River Front Library (1 Larkin Center).
Awards recognize the top three male and female overall finishers and the top three in multiple age groups. The course is open to vehicular traffic; participants are advised that headphones are discouraged and only clear bags may be checked for safety.
