2026 Yonkers Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K
The Yonkers Marathon, established as the second oldest marathon in the United States, celebrates its 99th year in 2026. The event features a variety of distances held on a course that remains open to vehicular traffic. Participants travel through the downtown area, local hills, and along the Hudson River waterfront.

The course is noted for its hilly terrain throughout the scenic areas of Yonkers. Because the roads are open to traffic, the use of headphones or noise-cancelling devices is strongly discouraged for safety reasons. Participants can utilize a bag check for light personal items, provided they use clear bags rather than backpacks.
Amenities for runners include finisher medals, live time tracking, and text or email results. The marathon features five on-course timing points, while the half marathon includes two. Free finish line photos and video are provided to all participants. Awards are issued to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as the top three in various age categories ranging from 12 and under to 70 and over.
Free parking is provided on the event day at the Buena Vista Parking Structure from early morning until mid-afternoon. Packet pickup is available at the Department of Parks Headquarters the day before the race, or at the River Front Library on the morning of the event.
