YMCA Gobble Wobble 5K and 1 Mile
The YMCA Gobble Wobble is a community running event held in downtown Wichita Falls on November 26, 2026, organized by the YMCA of Wichita Falls. The event includes two distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
The 5K is chip timed and the 1 Mile is a non timed family fun run. Packet and T shirt pick up is available the day before at the Downtown YMCA and there is race day packet and registration assistance at the venue. A race day food drive will benefit the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank; the first 100 registered participants who donate on race day receive a commemorative cold weather beanie.
The course runs through downtown and highlights local landmarks. Volunteers will be stationed around the course to assist at larger intersections, and there is a water stop on Indiana Street just past the two mile mark. Awards for the 5K include gift cards for the top three male and top three female finishers. Participants in the 1 Mile run are entered into a prize drawing.
Parking is available on the southeast lot at the corner of Burnett and Ninth Street. Note that Ninth Street will be closed from Scott Street to Austin Street during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
