Grandmomma Wears Pink 5k Color Run
The event is a 5K color run held on May 16, 2026 at Lucy Park, Large Pavillion, 100 Sunset Dr., Wichita Falls, TX 76302, United States. Registration opens April 2, 2026 and closes May 16, 2026. The registration fee is $30.
Proceeds from the run are used to purchase homemade care packages for local breast cancer patients. Each care package costs about $60. The organizer aims to raise funds for 100 care packages. Packages will be delivered through the United Regional Foundation or by personal request. More than 50 care packages have been delivered since November 2024.
Each care package contains a selection of items chosen with care, including a fitness tracker, a pink heart pillow, a Burt’s Bees chapstick and cuticle cream set, pink cozy socks, a face mask, a handmade inspirational bracelet and keychain, a handmade headband, high protein snacks, flavored water packets, hard candy, and a personal note that lists each item with its purpose.
The project was started after a family member underwent breast cancer treatment in 2022 and 2023. The nonprofit is run and founded by local residents of Wichita Falls, Texas. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
