Year of the Goat : Simi Valley, February 7, 2027
The Year of the Goat event takes place at Rancho Simi Park in Simi Valley, California. It offers multiple race distances on a marked, open trail and path that use out-and-back loops. The course runs alongside shared pedestrian and cycling traffic, so participants are asked to be courteous to others.
Distances offered:
- 5K (one loop)
- 10K (two loops)
- 15K (three loops)
- Half marathon (three loops of about 4.37 miles each)
An aid station is provided on each loop for all distances. The half marathon has a time limit of 3 hours 15 minutes; participants who need more time can arrange an early start with the organizer. Every registration includes a custom finisher medal, a drawstring goodie bag, live results at finish, free photos and videos, and age group awards (awards must be picked up at the race and are not mailed). The event also offers snacks, trophies and achievement badges, an app to view race media and rankings, and group discounts for three or more people.
Parking is available at Rancho Simi Park near the Pickleball Courts, the community pool, and the kickball fields. The event has a no-refund policy; transfers to a later date or to another participant are possible by contacting the organizer. Volunteer roles can be exchanged for a free race entry.
