Yarrow River Bluebell 10K Trail Run
The Yarrow River Bluebell 10K is a spring trail race through Yarrow Valley. The single lap 10 km route follows woodland paths and riverside trails and includes several crossings of the River Yarrow. The event is timed to coincide with the bluebell season.
Trail shoes are recommended. There is a cut-off time of 2 hours 10 minutes for the course. Every finisher receives a custom-designed medal. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers, 1st junior male and female, winners in each veteran category and 1st male and female teams.
The Flaming Grill Pub in Chorley serves as the event base. Runners and supporters can use the pub as a meeting point and for post-race refreshments and socialising. The race is organised by Trail Blazing Events, a family-run organisation that stages the event with on-course support and a race-day structure intended to welcome returning and new participants.
