Yakima River Canyon Marathon

The Yakima River Canyon Marathon and Half-Marathon is a point-to-point race along Washington State Route 821 through the Yakima River Canyon, starting in Ellensburg and finishing near Selah. The event offers a full marathon and a half-marathon (the latter capped at 200 entrants) on a USATF-certified course noted for spectacular canyon views and a long downhill to the finish. Runners receive a T-shirt and finisher medal; awards are presented in real time at the finish.

Course support includes aid stations every 2-3 miles, and a seven-hour course window. Half-marathon participants are bused to the start; marathon has an early-start option with approval. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
