Wyoming Valley Striders 3rd Annual 5K
The event is a 5K road race held on November 8, 2026 in Shickshinny, Pennsylvania at Oak and North Canal Streets using the Susquehanna Warrior Trail. The course is an out-and-back and the race will be chip timed. Individual water bottles will be available at the finish.
Entry requires pre-registration online; race day entries are not accepted. Online registration opens July 14, 2026 and will close on Friday, November 6, 2026 at noon. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Pre-entry fees are listed as WVS members $20 and non-members $25; fees increase on August 15, 2026 to WVS members $25 and non-members $30. Current WVS members receive a discount code by email; members are asked not to share that code. Non-members may purchase a WVS membership for $12 online and then receive the race discount code.
Pre-entry packet pick-up will be conducted under the pavilion at Oak and North Canal Streets. Entrants who register by the end of day on October 11, 2026 will receive a commemorative t-shirt. If the race is cancelled due to directives by the hosted facility or the WVS, 2026 pre-entries will be deferred to the following year and no refunds will be issued. The race is open to anyone and the race directors reserve the right to accept or reject any entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
