Run For The Diamonds
The Run For The Diamonds is a historic road race held annually in Berwick, Pennsylvania. This event takes place every Thanksgiving Day and features a specific distance of 9 miles. Established in 1908, the race has a long-standing tradition in the local community and has only been cancelled twice in its history, specifically during 1918 and 1919.
The course takes runners through the streets of Berwick, and the event organizers provide detailed course maps and elevation profiles for participants. While the primary event is the 9-mile road race, the Berwick Marathon Association also organizes other related events in the area, such as the Cookie Run, the Pumpkin Run, and the Market Street Races.
Recognition is a significant part of the event's history. The 35+ Club honors runners who have completed the race at least 35 times. Participants can access local lodging information and directions through the event's resources to assist with travel to Columbia County. Results are tracked annually, with recent top finishing times recorded around 44:39 for men and 56:33 for women. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
