Run For The Diamonds
Run For The Diamonds is an annual Thanksgiving Day road race held in Berwick, Pennsylvania, at the Elks Lodge on 117 West 2nd Street. The event is a 9 mile road race with a long history that began in 1908 and was cancelled only in 1918 and 1919.
Registration windows and fees are published in advance. Early registration from September 1 to October 31 carries a standard entry fee of $35 plus a $3 processing fee; a later registration period from November 1 to November 21 is $45 plus a $3 processing fee. Race day registration is available in person only and accepts cash or check for a $50 fee. If the race is cancelled the race entry fee is refundable; the $3 processing fee is non-refundable.
Packet pickup takes place at the Elks Lodge in the day or days immediately before the race and on race day at the same location. The first 1,300 registered runners receive a long sleeve moisture wicking shirt. A course record award is established at $3,000.
