The race is hosted by the Bloomsburg Fair Winterfest Committee and uses a closed course on the fairgrounds described as fast and flat. Participants are encouraged to wear festive attire, but this is not required. There will be a special award for the most festive participant and a festive swag bag for participants. Age-group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in these groups: 10 and under; 11 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; and 60 and over.
