About the race
Wymondham New Year’s Day 10k is a 10k road race set in the countryside on the outskirts of Wymondham. The course runs on undulating, quiet rural roads and both the start and finish are on Lady’s Lane (what3words: scarf.sandwich.gobblers). Race headquarters is at Wymondham Central Hall, Back Lane, NR18 0QB (what3words: monkey.elated.cropping).
The event includes a water station at approximately halfway and water at the finish. Runners receive snacks at the finish and a bespoke medal. Portable toilets will be available in the Central Hall car park; additional toilets are expected near the Market Street car park (what3words: wobbling.dollar.direct). Tea, coffee and cakes will be offered at Race HQ in return for a charity donation.
Number collection opens at Race HQ on race day from 07:45. Entrants are asked to bring their own safety pins to reduce waste. Headphones of any kind including bone conducting are not permitted because the route is on roads open to traffic. Running with buggies or dogs is not permitted. There will be no bag drop; runners should only bring items they will carry during the race.
Trophies will be awarded across a range of age categories on the day and full results will be posted later. Entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred; transfers to another runner are allowed until midnight on 16/12/2026.
