50 km Boudicca Way Ultra
A 50 km ultra running event that follows the Boudicca Way from Diss to Norwich on well marked long-distance trails. The route starts at Hope Church, Vinces Road, Diss IP22 4HQ and finishes at Trowse Common, Trowse, Norwich NR14 8SZ. The path runs through South Norfolk villages and passes historic sites including Saxlingham Nethergate, Shotesham and Caistor Roman Town, with archaeological finds dating to the 1st century AD.
The course is described as generally good underfoot and clearly waymarked. Organisers apply a 10 hour time limit and there are cut offs in place along the route. Entry is limited to 150 places. The event is licensed by the Association of Running Clubs and held under UK Athletics rules; permit number is to be confirmed.
