Route Information
The Wye Not Wander takes place in Kent, starting from the Village Hall in the High Street of Wye. The event explores the landscape where the Stour Valley meets the North Downs, traversing the countryside of both the Downs and the Valley. Participants can view the Wye Crown, a monument carved into the chalk to commemorate the coronation of Edward VII.
The event offers three distinct course distances:
- 27 miles
- 20 miles
- 15 miles
Event Logistics
Participants are required to carry their own mug or drinking receptacle as none are provided at the aid stations. Hot and cold drinks and food are available at all checkpoints throughout the course, and a meal is provided at the finish. All finishers receive a certificate.
The event requires specific equipment for navigation and safety. Entrants must carry a route description, which is provided by the organizer, and are advised to carry a map case, compass, and relevant OS Explorer (137, 138, and 150) or Landranger (179) maps. Location and Access
The starting point at Wye Village Hall is located approximately 300 yards from the local railway station. Parking at the venue is limited. There are no entries accepted on the day of the event; all participants must pre-register before the closing date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
