Event details

The Northiam 8.5km Trail Race takes place on Sunday 25 January 2026 at Northiam Village Hall, TN316RA. The event is organised by 1066 Trail Races. The minimum age for entry is 16. Entry is limited to 60 people. Entry fees are £15.00, rising to £18.00 from 19 January 2026. Entries open 23 December 2025 and close 24 January 2026. Prizes are offered for first male and first female finishers. A course map is available on request.

Course and facilities

The race is a loop trail of approximately 8.5 km around Northiam. The route passes local landmarks including Great Dixter house and gardens and follows part of the East Sussex Border Path towards Ewhurst. The terrain includes fields, woodland and undulating country lanes, with an uphill section to the finish. The course will be fully marked and marshalled. Toilets, changing and parking are at the village hall. Tea and cake will be served in the hall after the race. Because this is a trail race the distance is approximate, there may be livestock on the course, and running with dogs is prohibited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
