About the race
WWF BC Place Climb for Nature takes place at BC Place in Vancouver on October 24, 2026. The event involves climbing the stadium stands on a marked course alongside other participants.
Participants choose between two climb options:
- Single bowl climb, about 3,000 steps up and down.
- Double bowl climb, about 6,000 steps up and down.
There is a registration fee of $20 and a minimum fundraising amount of $50 for adults. For kids and youth the registration fee is $10 and the minimum fundraising amount is $30. The minimum fundraising requirement must be submitted before or on climb day to be eligible to climb.
A section of seating will be reserved for spectators who come to watch and support climbers. Corporate teams may participate to engage employees and support workplace wellness while fundraising for nature.
On event day participants check in to collect timing devices, complete the marked course in the lower bowl, and receive an official climb time t-shirt and rewards after crossing the finish. Funds raised support WWF Canada’s Regenerate Canada plan, including targets to restore at least one million hectares, steward at least 100 million hectares, and reduce carbon emissions by 30 million tonnes.
