The Big Elf Run
The Big Elf Run is a holiday-themed run held in Stanley Park, Vancouver on December 13, 2025. The event offers multiple distances around paths and the seawall starting at Lumberman's Arch, with looped formats for longer routes. Distances offered include:
- 1 km Wee Elf Run
- 5 km Big Elf Run
- 10 km Big Elf Run (2 loops)
- 15 km Triple Loop Challenge
The course is mainly paved with few inclines and includes seawall and park-path sections with views of Coal Harbour and Burrard Inlet. The route is measured and subject to change. Pets and strollers are permitted but must start in the final wave. Runners and walkers must complete their route within a two-hour course cut-off.
Registration, kit and event logistics
Registration includes a personalised bib with a custom "Elf Name" (customise by Nov 16), an elf toque, and a wooden medal that also serves as a tree ornament. Chip timing is provided for the 5 km, 10 km and 15 km events; a finish clock is available for the kids 1 km. Early-bird pricing and bundle discounts are offered; entries are non-refundable. Many prizes are supplied by BC or Vancouver businesses; if a prize cannot be redeemed outside that area it may be substituted with a free future event entry.
Packet pickup and a mailout option are available. Packet pickup is scheduled on December 10, 11 and 12 at Kintec locations in Burnaby, North Vancouver and Vancouver; a mailout option is available with an earlier cut-off. The event partners include SEA2SKY Events and the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau, which will run an on-site toy drive. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
