The Big Elf Run is an annual holiday-themed running event held in scenic Stanley Park, Vancouver. Celebrating its 11th edition, the event features multiple distances including a 1km Wee Elf Run for kids and 5km, 10km, and 15km routes for adults, with the longer distances consisting of loops around the park. The mostly paved course offers beautiful views of Coal Harbour and Burrard Inlet, winding through trails lined with old oak trees and along the seawall.
The run welcomes participants of all ages and abilities, including leashed dogs and strollers (starting in the last wave). Festive features include personalized elf name bibs, elf toque costume items, wooden ornament medals, a DJ, an "elfie" photo station, and prize giveaways, creating a fun and family-friendly atmosphere.
