The Big Elf Run : event overview
The Big Elf Run is an annual holiday-themed fun run held on December 13, 2025, in Stanley Park, Vancouver. The event starts and finishes at Lumberman's Arch, 3301 Stanley Park Dr. Distances offered include:
- 1 km Wee Elf Run
- 5 km Big Elf Run
- 10 km Big Elf Run (2 loops)
- 15 km Triple Loop Challenge
The event program includes music, vendors, an "elfie" photo station and prize giveaways. Registration items listed for participants include a personalised bib with an elf name (customise by Nov 16), an elf toque, a wooden ornament medal made in BC and chip timing for the 5 km, 10 km and 15 km events. The event partners include local businesses and the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau, which will run a toy drive at the event.
Course, logistics and rules
The course tours Stanley Park paths and the seawall with views of Coal Harbour and the Burrard Inlet. Surfaces are mainly paved with few inclines. Pets and strollers are allowed but must start in the last wave; dogs must be leashed. Participants must complete the route within a two-hour cut-off. Packet pickup is available on December 10, 11 and 12 at Kintec locations in Burnaby, North Vancouver and Vancouver, with an onsite pickup option on event day that carries a convenience fee.
