About the race
The Big Elf Run is an annual holiday themed run around Stanley Park in Vancouver. The event takes place on December 12, 2026 and uses Lumbermans Arch as the start and finish area, at 3301 Stanley Park Dr. Routes use mainly paved paths with few inclines and include seawall sections with views of Coal Harbour and the Burrard Inlet. Leashed dogs and strollers are welcome; both are asked to start in the final wave.

Registration includes a personalised running bib with a custom elf name, a wooden ornament medal from BC, an elf toque costume item, a measured route, a water station, entertainment and an "elf-ie" photo station. There is also a chance to win door prizes. Runners and walkers must complete their route within two hours, with the 1 km route to be finished within 30 minutes.
Early bird prices start at $23 for the 1 km, $40 for 5 km, $42 for 10 km and $45 for 15 km. Group bundles of four or more receive a 15 percent discount applied at registration. Under 18 entries for 5 km and 10 km are capped at $29. Run kits can be collected at Kintec locations on December 9, 10 and 11 during midday pickup hours, or on event day for a convenience fee.
