Wurst Tri Ever - New Braunfels, Texas
The Wurst Tri Ever is a Sprint distance USAT sanctioned triathlon held at Landa Park Aquatic Center in New Braunfels. The event is for adult athletes aged 18 years and older.
Distances included:
- 300 m swim, 12-mile bike, 2.5-mile run
- Duathlon options: Bike & Run; Swim & Bike; Swim & Run
Race categories include age group competition, a fat tire age group, and 2- and 3-person relay divisions. Awards are given to category winners and finisher medals are provided; medals are ordered about one and a half months in advance.
On race morning, transition is managed by race staff and bikes will not be removed from transition until staff and the race director indicate it is safe. This rule is strictly enforced for safety reasons.
Wetsuit use follows USAT temperature rules: wetsuits allowed at 78°F or lower, allowed but ineligible for awards between 78.1°F and 83.9°F, and not allowed at 84°F or higher. The refund policy specifies a partial refund more than 14 days before the race minus fees, and no refunds or transfers within two weeks of the event or on race day.
