Wurst Tri Ever
Wurst Tri Ever is the 14th annual USAT-sanctioned sprint triathlon held at Landa Park Aquatic Center in New Braunfels on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The event is for adult athletes aged 18 years and older. T-shirt guarantee requires registration by October 1, 2026.
The event formats include:
- Triathlon - 300 m swim, 12-mile bike, 2.5-mile run
- Triathlon Age Group and Fat Tire Age Group
- 2-person and 3-person relay teams
- Duathlon options: Bike & Run, Swim & Bike, Swim & Run
Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Aquatic Center Training Room in Landa Park from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Bike check-in is not available on Saturday.
Transition area opens on race morning and closes before the swim start. Bikes may not be removed from transition until race staff and the race director permit removal for safety reasons.
Event features include finisher medals (ordered 1.5 months in advance) and awards for category winners. A post-event gathering will include Kiolbassa Sausage and other refreshments. Wetsuit rules follow USAT guidelines based on water temperature: wetsuits allowed at 78°F or lower, allowed but ineligible for awards between 78.1°F and 83.9°F, and not allowed at 84°F or higher.
Refund policy: 50% refund more than 14 days before the race minus processing fees; no refunds within 14 days of the race or on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
