Wurst Tri Ever - Race information
The Wurst Tri Ever is the 14th annual sprint triathlon held at Landa Park Aquatic Center in New Braunfels on October 11, 2026. The event is USAT sanctioned and open to adult athletes age 18 and older. Registrations completed before October 1, 2026 are guaranteed a T-shirt while supplies last.
The standard triathlon distance consists of the following segments:
- 300 m swim
- 12 mile bike
- 2.5 mile run
Race categories include individual age group divisions, fat tire age group, 2-person and 3-person relays. Duathlon options are offered in combinations of bike and run, swim and bike, and swim and run. Packet pickup takes place the day before the race at the Aquatic Center training room in Landa Park.
On race day, transition procedures and bike removal are subject to staff control for safety; bikes will not be released from transition until staff or race management permit their removal. A pre-race meeting is scheduled on site before the start.
Finisher medals are provided and are ordered in advance. Awards are given to category winners. A post-race gathering will include Kiolbassa Sausage and additional food options. Wetsuit rules follow USAT guidance based on water temperature ranges. Refunds follow the stated policy with partial refund available more than 14 days before the event and no refunds within two weeks of the event.
