Bigfoot Classic - San Antonio (January 4, 2026)

The Bigfoot Classic in San Antonio is scheduled at McAllister Park, Pavilion #5 (13102 Jones Maltsberger Rd, San Antonio, TX 78232). The event offers in-person and virtual options and uses chip timing for selected distances. Course surfaces may include paved trails, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Packet pickup is offered 1.5 hours before the event start. Aid stations will provide water on course. All finishers of all distances receive a medal and shirt. The shirt guarantee cutoff is 10 days before the event.

• Kids Dash - about 50 meters, not timed.
• 1 Mile - not chip timed.
• 5K - 3.11 miles, chip timed.
• 10K - 6.22 miles, chip timed.
• 15K - 9.33 miles, chip timed.
• Volunteer then Run 5K - 3.11 miles, limited to first 10 sign ups, includes chip timed bib, tee, and medal.
• Virtual Run

Awards, contest and volunteers

The 5K, 10K and 15K feature overall trophies for male and female winners, masters recognition pins, and age-group award pins across standard age brackets from 10 and under through 70+. A crowd-selected "Legendary Beast Costume Contest" awards a Legendary Beast Trophy, a prize pack, and a free future race entry to the winner. A DJ will announce runners and provide event music. Volunteer roles include water station, course monitor, finish line helper, packet pickup, sweeper, lead bike, and mascot; volunteers check in 1.5 hours before the start and some volunteer roles include race shirt and other benefits.
