Bigfoot Classic - San Antonio (Northeast Lakeview College, Live Oak, TX) : January 10, 2027
The Bigfoot Classic is a multi-distance running event hosted at Northeast Lakeview College. Course surfaces may include pavement, crushed granite, and occasional dirt paths. Aid stations are placed on course to provide water and assistance. A race rally tent offers snacks and drinks after the finish.
Timing and awards vary by event. The 5K, 10K, and 15K are chip timed and include overall trophies for male and female winners, masters recognition pins for age 40+, and standard age-group award pins. The 1 Mile and Kids Dash are not chip timed. All finishers receive a medal and shirt. Shirt sizes are guaranteed if ordered at least ten days before the event; availability after that date may be limited. Packet pickup is offered starting 1.5 hours before the race.
Additional event elements include on-course DJ music and race announcers, a Bigfoot mascot for high-fives and photos, live awards at the registration tent, and professional race photography for the Kids Dash. A crowd-voted Legendary Beast Costume Contest awards a trophy, a Bigfoot prize pack, and a free future race entry to the contest winner.
Volunteer roles range from water station attendant to course monitor, packet pickup helper, lead bike, sweeper, and mascot. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
