Wurst Run Ever 5K : Norfolk, Nebraska
The event is a 5K road race in Norfolk, Nebraska, with the start and finish at Johnson Park (101 E Nebraska Avenue). The course route is provided to participants and a copy is included in the race packet. Participants may run or walk the course.
Registered participants receive event swag that includes the official race t-shirt, a participation medal, a Wurst Run Ever stein, a drink ticket for the Oktoberfest celebration, and a complimentary bratwurst. Swag is guaranteed for registrations completed in early September; registration fees increase later in the month.
Awards are given for the top male and top female finishers and for the best group costume and best individual costume. Age divisions span youth to masters and include 6 and under, 7 to 9, 10 to 12, 13 to 15, 16 to 18, then 19 to 24 and five year increments through 70 and over.
Packet pick up is available at Johnson Park on the Friday before the race in the evening and on the morning of the event.
