Wurst Run Ever 5K
Wurst Run Ever is a 5K road event held in Norfolk, Nebraska on September 19, 2026. The race starts and finishes at Johnson Park (101 E. Nebraska Avenue). The published course route is provided in the race packet and on event materials. Participants may run or walk the course.
Participants receive race swag including the official race t-shirt, a participation medal, a Wurst Run Ever stein, a drink ticket for the accompanying Oktoberfest celebration, and a complimentary bratwurst. Swag is guaranteed for registrations completed by September 4; registration fees increase after that date and later tiers carry higher fees. There are no race day registrations.
Packet pick up is available at Johnson Park on Friday, September 18 (evening) and on the morning of the event. Event communications will be sent by email and text, and announcements will be posted on the Norfolk Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
Awards include prizes for the top male and female finishers and recognitions for best group costume and best individual costume. Age divisions are used for awards, ranging from 6 and under through 70 and older. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
