WTRC Turkey Trot
The WTRC Turkey Trot is an annual Thanksgiving Day road event held in Lubbock, Texas at the Fibermax Center for Discovery, 1121 Canyon Lake Dr. The event traces its origin to 1993 and the 2026 edition is presented as the 34th annual running.

Registration opens October 10, 2026. Participants who register by midnight on November 15 can guarantee a shirt size. Entry fees are listed as $25 for members and nonmember children ages 4 to 12, and $35 for nonmembers for either distance. The field is limited to 1500 participants, there is no race day registration, and refunds are not available.
Age and equipment rules include a minimum age of 4 for the 2 Mile, 16 for the 12K, and 18 for stroller participants in the 2 Mile. Pets are not allowed on the course. Packet pickup is available on the Tuesday and Wednesday prior to the event at FootTech on 19th Street and also on race day at the Fibermax Center.
The event maintains historical race results, course records by age group for both distances, and photo and video media from prior years. Race shirts are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
