WTRC Turkey Trot
The WTRC Turkey Trot is an annual running event held since 1993. The 34th edition takes place on Thanksgiving Day 2026 at the Fibermax Center for Discovery, 1121 Canyon Lake Dr., Lubbock, TX. GREEN areas are designated for overflow parking.

- 2 Mile Run/walk
- 12K Run
Packet pickup is available the Tuesday and Wednesday before the race at FootTech on 19th Street, and also on race day at the Fibermax Center. Registration opens on October 10, 2026. Registrations submitted by midnight November 15 will guarantee shirt size. The event is limited to 1500 participants and there is no race day registration. No refunds are offered.
Entry fees are listed as $25 for members and for non-member children ages 4 to 12, and $35 for non-members for both distances. The 12K course is USATF certified with certification number TX12147ETM. The event includes a race T-shirt.
Age requirements specify minimums for each distance: ages 4 and up for the 2 Mile run/walk, ages 16 and up for the 12K, and ages 18 and up to use strollers in the 2 Mile. Pets are not allowed on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
