Event overview
The Carol of Lights Run takes place on December 14, 2025, on the Texas Tech University campus in Lubbock, Texas. The course passes by many campus buildings that are illuminated with more than 25,000 colored lights. The 5K course includes a lap through Jones AT&T Stadium. Carolers perform along the course and runners receive Santa's treats after the finish.

Registration is tiered with different fees by date. Registrants who register by November 30, 2025 are guaranteed a race T-shirt. Packet pickup is mandatory and takes place the day before the race at QuarterFour, 6524 Slide Road, Lubbock, TX.
Charity and logistics
The event collects items for the Lubbock Children’s Health Clinic; the posted wish list includes diapers (all sizes, no pull-ups or swimmers), wipes, and Nuby no-spill sippy cups. Volunteer roles include packet pickup, water stops, food distribution, course monitoring, and finish-line support.
