Carol of Lights Run
The Carol of Lights Run is an evening, family-friendly event held on the Texas Tech University campus. The course route passes buildings decorated with more than 25,000 colored lights and aims to reflect the season through on-course entertainment.
Course options include:
- 5K - includes a lap through Jones AT&T Stadium.
- 1 mile course.
Carolers perform along the course and runners receive seasonal treats after crossing the finish area. Packet pickup is mandatory and is handled before race day at QuarterFour, 6524 Slide Rd, Lubbock TX. The race start area is near the Chemistry Building at Texas Tech University Memorial Circle.
The event supports the Lubbock Children’s Health Clinic. Organizers list requested items for donation: diapers (all sizes, no pull ups or swimmers), wipes, and Nuby no-spill easy-grip sippy cups. Volunteers assist with packet pickup, water stops, finish line and course support; volunteers receive official race shirts and event goodies.
