About the race
Defeat Delamere is a multi-distance running event held at Delamere Forest in Cheshire, near Frodsham. The weekend lineup includes 5k, 10k, 16k and a mini-miler for young participants, with entry fees starting from £10. On race day, participants collect their race pack with bib and timing chip at the registration tent, then join a group warm-up before the start.
The forest course features a mix of extended downhill sections and straightaways, encouraging a varied running style. Amenities include accessible parking, an on-site café, and toilets, plus post-race hydration; there is no formal bag drop. Proceeds support Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
