About the race
Defeat Delamere is a trail running event held in Delamere Forest, Cheshire. It offers adult race options over 5K, 10K and 16K, plus a Junior Race for children aged four and over. Participants can collect race packs, including race numbers and timing chips, at registration on the day.
The routes follow woodland trails, gravel tracks and undulating terrain. Runners should expect uneven ground, loose surfaces and exposed tree roots. The 10K and 16K pass Blakemere Moss and include a section of the Sandstone Trail through Nettleford Wood. All adult distances climb toward Pale Heights early in the route.

- 16K Adult races are chip timed and fully marshalled with clearly marked routes; the Junior Race is not chip timed. Water stations are provided on the 10K and 16K routes and post race hydration is available for all participants. Medical support and electronic race results are provided for adult races, with results published on Njuko and sent by text on race day.
Access and facilities information notes official event parking at Whitefield Car Park with additional car parks available, and Delamere Railway Station within walking distance of the event village. Toilet and visitor centre facilities are available nearby. Recommended kit includes suitable trail footwear, weather appropriate clothing and personal medication.
