Wounded Warrior 5K Fun Run
The Wounded Warrior 5K Fun Run is a family-friendly running event on October 24, 2026, offering both an in-person and a virtual 5K option. The in-person course is set on the Trane Technologies campus in Davidson, North Carolina, along the shore of Lake Norman. The event location is 800 Beaty Street, Davidson, NC 28036, United States.
Registration opens July 13, 2026 and closes October 22, 2026. The registration fee is $50. All participants receive a race bib, a Wounded Warrior Project t-shirt, and a medal upon completion. T-shirt availability is guaranteed for registrations completed by October 15.
The event raises awareness and funds for programs and services provided by the Wounded Warrior Project for post-9/11 wounded, ill, and injured veterans and their families. Those programs include mental health services, physical wellness activities, VA benefits assistance, and peer support. The event materials note that veterans are more than twice as likely to die by suicide as non-veterans according to the VA, and that Wounded Warrior Project programs aim to address that need.
