Wounded Warrior 5K Fun Run
The Wounded Warrior 5K Fun Run is a family-friendly fundraising event on the Trane Technologies campus in Davidson, North Carolina, along the shore of Lake Norman. The event provides both an in person race and a virtual option so participants can choose to run locally or from another location.

Proceeds raise awareness and funds for Wounded Warrior Project to support post-9/11 wounded, ill, and injured veterans and their families. Wounded Warrior Project provides programs and services including mental health support, physical wellness activities, VA benefits assistance, and peer support, and has operated for over 20 years.
All participants receive a race bib, a WWP t-shirt, and a medal upon completion. The registration fee is $50. Registrations completed by October 15 are guaranteed a t-shirt. Registration opens July 13 and closes October 22.
The event notes a virtual option for nonlocal participants and records fundraising results from past events; since Team Yellow Ribbon held its first 5K in 2023, the event series has raised over $30,000 for the cause. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
