Wounded Warfighter Lone Sailor 5K/10K - Orlando, FL
The 18th annual Wounded Warfighter Lone Sailor 5K/10K is scheduled for April 10, 2027. The event begins and ends at Blue Jacket Park, 2501 General Rees Ave, Orlando, Florida. The course for the 10K consists of two loops of Lake Baldwin.
The event’s primary purpose is to raise funds for charities that support service members and Central Florida military communities; historically the race has raised more than $400,000 for such groups. The event includes a collection drive for Sneakers4Good to keep shoes out of landfills and to support microenterprises in developing nations; sneakers may be dropped at packet pick up or on race day.
Race amenities and policies include:

- 10K
- Kids races: 50 yards (ages 4-6) and 100 yards (ages 7-9)
Premium race shirts are provided for all preregistered 5K and 10K participants; shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after the shirt deadline. A limited-edition race medal is provided to all participants, including virtual participants. Discounts are available for veterans, active duty military, and groups of 10 or more. The youth races do not include shirts and do not require separate registration.
Both the 5K and 10K award top three male and female overall finishers with FIT2Run gift certificates valued at $75, $50, and $25. Age-group awards are specified separately for the 5K and 10K. Virtual registration is open through April 10, 2027; virtual participants receive a shirt and medal and virtual packets are mailed after registration closes.
Packet pick up is offered at two FIT2Run locations in Orlando and on race day near the Blue Jacket Memorial. Race day registrations are accepted in cash or check and carry an additional fee compared to preregistration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
