Wounded Warfighter Lone Sailor 5K/10K
This annual road race takes place on April 10, 2027, in Orlando with the start and finish at Blue Jacket Park, 2501 General Rees Ave, Orlando, Florida 32814. The event raises funds for charities that support service members and Central Florida military communities and has raised more than $400,000 over the years.
The event program includes a standard 5K and a 10K course; the 10K is two loops of Lake Baldwin. All preregistered 5K and 10K participants receive premium race shirts, and all participants including virtual runners receive a newly designed limited-edition race medal. Discounts are offered for veterans, active duty military, and groups of ten or more.
Awards include FIT 2 Run gift certificates for the top three overall male and female finishers in both the 5K and 10K, and age-group awards for 5K and first-place age groups for the 10K. A kids race for ages 4-6 and 7-9 covers very short sprint distances and does not include shirts; youth registration is not required.
Pre-race packet pick up is available at two local Fit2Run locations and there is race day packet pick up at Blue Jacket Park. The event also collects used or new sneakers for the Sneakers4Good campaign; donations can be brought to packet pick up or race day.
