About the race
CORE's 2026 Reindeer Run & Roll 5K is a community running event held on December 5, 2026, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The 5K course follows the Seminole-Wekiva Trail and begins and ends in the CORE parking lot. The event benefits the CORE Foundation, Inc., including its Recovery Scholarship Program, and includes an option for participants to fundraise on behalf of that program.
Participants are encouraged to wear festive holiday attire. The organizer plans a post-race parking lot gathering with music, refreshments, and mimosas. Early t-shirt pickup will be scheduled the week of the race once shirts are delivered. T-shirts and participant medals are guaranteed for registrants who complete registration by the announced pre-registration deadline; additional shirts and medals will be available only while supplies last.
Race policies include no pet access on the course (service animals welcome), allowance of strollers with a request that stroller users start toward the back, and a no-transfer policy for entries. There is no gear drop-off area; participants are asked to leave belongings in their vehicle or with a non-participant. One water station is provided roughly midway on the course, and participants are encouraged to bring their own water. Free parking is available at CORE and on nearby side streets, with limited accessible parking and a drop-off station in front of CORE.
