OUC Orlando Half Marathon Weekend
The OUC Orlando Half Marathon Weekend is a multi-day running event held in Downtown Orlando, centered around Lake Eola Park. Celebrating its 50th year, the event features several distances and challenges:
- Half Marathon (Saturday)
- 5K (Sunday)
- DTO 16.2 Challenge (Half Marathon and 5K)
The half marathon course carries a 3.5-hour time limit, requiring participants to maintain a 15-minute per mile pace. The route is supported by nine water stations offering water and Gatorade, along with four entertainment spots and on-course medical tents near miles 5 and 10. For those seeking specific finish times, pace groups are available ranging from 1:40 to 3:00.
The 5K event supports local charities and follows a scenic route around the downtown area, finishing at the park. Participants looking for a greater challenge can enter the DTO 16.2 Challenge, which requires completing both the half marathon on Saturday and the 5K on Sunday.
The event is certified as a sustainable race at the Gold Level. A lakeside post-race party follows the runs, featuring live music and local refreshments. Participants receive specialized swag based on their event, including medals for all distances, shirts for the 5K, and quarter-zips for the half marathon. Prize money is available for top finishers in the half marathon, including a dedicated purse for the fastest Florida residents. Virtual participation options are also provided for those unable to attend in person. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
