Worthington Waddle 5K
The Worthington Waddle 5K is an annual community event held at Worthington Town Park in Indiana. Organized by Tri Kappa, this event is part of the Mag 7 series, with proceeds supporting local charitable initiatives. The event features two primary participation options:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
Participants gather at the Community Building within the park for packet pickup and registration on the morning of the event. The course accommodates both runners and walkers. To remain eligible for performance awards in the walking category, participants are required to walk the entire distance.
The event includes several rewards and incentives. The overall male and female winners in both the running and walking categories receive a frozen turkey. Additionally, a prize is awarded for the most creative or "hammiest" costume. Participants who register by the early November deadline are guaranteed an event t-shirt; those who register later may receive one based on remaining supplies. There is also an option to decline the t-shirt for a reduced entry fee.
Following the conclusion of the activities, refreshments are provided for all participants. These include doughnuts, fruit, and a variety of hot beverages such as hot chocolate, apple cider, and coffee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
