Friends of McCormick's Creek 5K Run/Walk
The Friends of McCormick's Creek 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, at McCormick's Creek State Park in Spencer, IN (250 McCormick's Creek Park Road, 47460). This is the event's 20th annual running and is part of the Mag 7 Series. The course runs through the state park and includes rolling hills.

Logistics, fees and awards
Registration for each event is listed at $25 and closes April 17, 2026. Race-day registration will be $30 (cash or check) at the Nature Center on April 18, 2026. Packet pick-up is available at the Nature Center on race day from 7:00am to 8:15am. Participants who register before April 3, 2026, are eligible to receive a race shirt; shirts are available while supplies last after April 2, 2026.
Prizes are given to top male and female overall finishers for both the 5K run and walk. Age-group awards go to the top two finishers in each 5K run age group and to the first-place finisher in each 5K walk age group. Proceeds will support projects and events to preserve, restore, manage, and interpret the park's natural and cultural resources and recreational opportunities. A post-race pancakes and sausage breakfast is offered for $5; orders should be placed by April 15, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
