Friends of McCormick's Creek 5K Run/Walk

The Friends of McCormick's Creek host their 20th annual 5K road race in Spencer, Indiana, at McCormick's Creek State Park. The course runs through the state park and includes rolling hills. The event is part of the Mag 7 Series.

Proceeds support projects and events that preserve, restore, manage, and interpret the park's natural and cultural heritage and its recreational opportunities. Packet pick-up is available at the Nature Center on race day. Race-day registration is offered at the Nature Center for a fee; cash or check only.

Prizes are awarded to the top male and female overall finishers in both the 5K run and the 5K walk. Additional awards are given to the top two age-group finishers in the 5K run and to the first age-group winners in the 5K walk. Participants who register before April 3, 2026, are eligible to receive a race shirt; shirts remain available while supplies last after April 2.

A post-race pancake and sausage breakfast is offered for $5; organizers request purchases by April 15, 2026, to assist with planning.
