Event overview
The Worcester Cinco (5)K is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026 in downtown Worcester, MA (01608). The event includes an in-person 5K run/walk, a kids race program for young children, and a virtual 5K option. The event is the third race in the Greendale Physical Therapy Worcester Triple Crown 5K series, following the Woo Jingle 5K (Dec 7, 2025) and the Guinness Celtic 5K (Mar 15, 2026). Participants who register for all three races in the series receive a finisher’s medal at the Worcester Cinco event.
Race format and logistics
- Distances:
- 5K - 3.1 miles
- Kids dash - approximately 50 m and approximately 1/2 mile (short and longer youth distances) The kids program accommodates very young children and older children; parents may run with their children. Walkers are permitted in the 5K. Pets are not allowed. Strollers must start toward the back for safety.
Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Sneakerama, 12 Lake Drive, Worcester. Race-day packet pickup is at Worcester City Hall. A post-race party is planned; location will be announced.
Fees, awards and charity
Entry fee tiers are posted for both the 5K and the kids race with higher fees closer to race weekend and a race-day walk-up fee. Individual awards are given by overall and age-group categories and are scored on gun time. Top team award is scored on chip time.
