Worcester Cinco (5)K - Worcester, MA
The Worcester Cinco (5)K is an inaugural run/walk event taking place on May 2, 2027 in Downtown Worcester at 446 Main Street, with the course starting and finishing outside Worcester City Hall on Main Street. The event is scheduled around the Cinco de Mayo holiday and includes in-person and virtual participation options.
Events and distances:
- Kids Dash - approximately 1/2 mile for ages 12 and under; parents may run with children.
- 5K Run/Walk - 3.1 miles; walkers are welcome. No pets allowed; strollers must start in the back for safety.
Packet pickup and onsite registration are available. Pre-race packet pickup is the day before at Sneakerama, 12 Lake Drive, Worcester. Race day packet pickup is at City Hall; walk-up registrations are accepted during the race weekend. Race shirts are not guaranteed for walk-up registrants.
Awards are given to top overall finishers and age-group winners, with individual awards scored on gun time. A team award is presented to the top overall team, scored on chip time.
Virtual participants may collect shirts at pre-race packet pickup or have shirts mailed after race day. Virtual entries count toward related race series.
The event supports the charity El Buen Samaritano and will accept monetary and material donations such as non-perishable food, blankets, hygiene items, school supplies, and grocery gift cards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
