Holden Turkey Trot
The Holden Turkey Trot is a running event taking place on Thanksgiving morning in Holden, Massachusetts. The event features a single distance:
- 5 km running race
The course begins and ends at the Seven Saws Brewery located at 112 Industrial Drive. The route follows a loop that includes Main Street (122A North), Boyden Road, Phillips Road, and Highland Street (Route 31). Participants cross back over the intersection of Main Street and Route 31 with police assistance before returning to Industrial Drive.
Roads remain open to vehicle traffic during the event. Participants are required to stay on the right-hand side of the road, using breakdown lanes, bike lanes, or designated walkways. Police officers are stationed along the course to manage safety at intersections.
Parking is available in designated lots at Woodmeister and Innertite on Industrial Drive, as well as limited spaces at the Stephen Nowak Memorial Field. Parking is prohibited at other businesses on Industrial Drive and on both sides of the street itself. Due to high attendance, organizers suggest drop-offs at the beginning of Industrial Drive. The event provides a limited supply of water, and participants are encouraged to bring their own hydration. Check-in and bib pickup are available on the morning of the race.
