Turkey Trot for the Memory : Shrewsbury, Massachusetts
The Turkey Trot for the Memory is an annual Thanksgiving community running event held at Shrewsbury Common. In its 15th year, the event has been officially dedicated as a memorial to a former justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. The event brings people together to honor loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s disease and to support research, care, resources, and education for future generations.
The event began as a family Thanksgiving tradition and has grown to attract more than 1,000 participants each year. Race day activities include organized running and walking options and opportunities for volunteers and sponsors to support the event. Results and photographs from more than a decade of past events are available to review.
