Turkey Trot for the Memory
Turkey Trot for the Memory, officially dedicated as the Francis P. O'Connor Memorial Race, marks its 15th anniversary on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, at Shrewsbury Common in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. The event brings the community together each Thanksgiving to honor loved ones affected by Alzheimer's disease and to support Alzheimer's research, care, resources, and education.
The race traditionally draws more than 1,000 participants and is organized by Turkey Trot for the Memory, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The event recognizes the contributions of volunteers, sponsors, participants, and community supporters who help make the event possible.
Distances
- 5-Mile Run traditional five-mile road race through Shrewsbury
- 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk shorter, family-friendly course for walkers and runners of all ages
Registration opens September 4. The event lists opportunities to volunteer, sponsor, or donate to support Alzheimer’s research and local care programs.
