Woodland Trail Series
The Woodland Trail Series is a three-race summer trail series held at West Hill Dam in Uxbridge, MA. The courses are well marked and change each race to cover different sections of West Hill. Over 75% of the routes are wooded single and some double-track trails that are generally rolling and shady; the remainder is on paved or gravel roads. Course distances were measured by GPS.
- June: 5 miles. Water stations at about 2 miles and 3 miles.
- July: 4.6 miles. Water station at the start of Delta.
- August: 3.2 miles. Water station between Bravo and Charlie; BBQ after the race.
Each race is limited to 125 runners and there is no day-of registration. Parking is limited and a short walk from the dam entrance may be required to reach the start area. Dogs are not allowed on the course and the course is not stroller friendly. Walkers are asked to notify organizers in advance.
Bibs are available for pickup on race day near the start area. Pre-registration fees are listed for single races and for all three races; a portion of each fee is donated to the Uxbridge and Northbridge Food Pantries. There are age-group division prizes for male and female categories and series awards for fastest combined time across all three races. Events cancel only for lightning or other severe weather.
