Arnold Mills Road Race : Cumberland, RI
The Arnold Mills Road Race is an annual Fourth of July road race held in Cumberland, Rhode Island. The event is a four-mile road race run on a moderately challenging course through a rural section of town and is held in conjunction with the town's annual parade. The event has run for more than 50 years and historically draws about 500 participants; organizers are expecting over 700 runners for the 2026 edition.
The start and finish are located near the Cumberland Fire Department Station 5 at 50 Arnold Mills Road, Cumberland, RI 02864. Packet pickup with bib and T-shirt is scheduled on July 3 at The Lodge at Diamond Hill, 4097 Diamond Hill Road. Race day registration and packet pickup for pre-registered participants take place at the Cumberland Fire Department in the morning. The first 500 entrants receive a T-shirt.
Pricing follows tiered rates: $25 for participants 18 and under, $25 until May 31, $30 until July 3, and $35 at packet pickup or on race day. Online registration closes on July 3 and on-site registration is also available. Limited parking is expected; parking is provided at the Community School, 15 Arnold Mills Road, and on Quaker Road, both a short distance from the start and finish.
