New Year's Resolution Run - Asheville
The New Year's Resolution Run is the 13th annual 5k and 10k event held in downtown Asheville on January 1, 2027, with the primary venue listed as Pack Square Park, 80 Court Plaza. The event is presented by Hunter Subaru and is part of the Holiday Hustle series of races.
The course runs through downtown streets and historic neighborhoods. The 10k route includes a tour through the Grove Park area and finishes on North Market Street, the city's remaining block of historic cobblestone brick pavers.

Race entries include chip timing with live results, a commemorative 2027 finisher medal, a goody bag, complimentary race photos, course signage and volunteers, and one-of-a-kind prizes. Registrations completed before the sweatshirt deadline receive a RUN AVL sweatshirt; sweatshirts are later available for purchase in limited quantities. Discounted 5k pricing is available for participants ages 12 and under at $25 early/$30 late.
Packet pickup is scheduled before the event at the Asheville YMCA (30 Woodfin St) and on race day at the same location. Cash prizes are listed for the overall top three men and women in the 10k: $100, $75, and $50 respectively.
The event offers in-person and virtual participation options, and the organizer provides policies for transfers to the virtual event, deferrals, and race distance changes.
