Overview
The 12th Annual New Year’s Resolution Run is scheduled for January 1, 2026 in downtown Asheville, NC. The event is presented by Hunter Subaru and offers both in-person and virtual race options. Distances offered include:

- 10k
Course and competition
Both distances use routes in downtown Asheville. The 10k course includes the Grove Park neighborhood. The finish goes up North Market Street, a block of historic cobblestone brick pavers in Asheville. The 10k awards cash prizes to the overall top three male and female finishers: $100 for 1st, $75 for 2nd, and $50 for 3rd; winners must be present at the award ceremony to accept cash prizes.
Logistics, entry and extras
Packet pickup is available on December 31 and on race day at the Hilton Garden Inn Asheville Downtown (309 College St). Entries include a finisher medal, goody bag, commemorative finisher item, complimentary non-alcoholic apple cider from Bold Rock Mills River at the finish, and professional chip timing with live results. Registrants who register before December 7 at midnight receive a free Resolution Run sweatshirt; sweatshirts are available for purchase afterward. A pre-event shipping option for bib and swag is offered for a fee. The event partners with local charities Least of These Asheville and iDream Athletes Foundation.
