New Year's Resolution Run : Asheville
The 13th Annual New Year's Resolution Run presented by Hunter Subaru takes place in downtown Asheville at Pack Square Park, 80 Court Plaza, Asheville, NC on January 1, 2027. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation.

The course runs through downtown streets and historic neighborhoods, with the 10k including a route through the Grove Park area and a finish on North Market Street’s cobblestone brick pavers. Packet pickup is available the day before and on the event date at the Asheville YMCA (30 Woodfin St).
Race entry includes a RUN AVL sweatshirt for registrations completed before the deadline, a goody bag, commemorative 2027 finisher medal, complimentary race photos, interactive course maps, course signage and volunteers, and professional chip timing with live results. Youth 5k pricing is offered for ages 12 and under at $25 early / $30 late.
Cash prizes are awarded to the top three male and female overall finishers in the 10k: $100 for first, $75 for second, and $50 for third; winners must be present at the award ceremony to accept cash prizes. Children age 10 or under should be supervised while on course.
The event’s policies allow transfers to the virtual event, deferrals up to 15 days before race day, and race distance changes. Registrations are nonrefundable. The organizer may modify, postpone, cancel, or convert the event to virtual if circumstances require; in-person entries converted to virtual will receive mailed swag.
